Selling on Etsy Proves Gainful in September

Marketplace says number of items sold up 72.6%, year over year.

Merchants selling on Etsy sold more items on the marketplace this September than they did a year ago, and they made significantly more. Sellers sold 72.6 percent more items this year compared to September 2011. Overall, merchants selling on Etsy made $76.8 million during the month—a slight increase compared to August’s total of $76.2 million—but a 69-percent increase compared to the same time last year, says Sinohe Terrero, who works for the site’s business operations department.
