Handmade Products Merchants Get Boost With Vendio’s New Tool For Etsy And Amazon Handmade

Vendio Services, a long standing provider of listing and order management services for online merchants, has recently announced a new tool for sellers of handmade products. Despite a huge merchant community (1.9 million sellers on Etsy as of 2018), no software company has come out with a solution specifically designed with these merchants in mind, until now. Speaking with Silvia Popa, the Product Manager of Vendio, she relayed the frustrations that handmade merchants experienced in spending large amounts of time listing the same products on multiple marketplaces. She says “Our sellers don’t need to be selling on other platforms to get the benefits, but if they are already selling on Etsy, they can quickly import their Etsy products and use this tool to easily get those items up on Amazon Handmade”.

Being the first multi-channel software solution for handmade sellers wasn’t without challenges. Where many marketplaces and storefronts have robust APIs and documentation for third parties to utilize, Amazon Handmade was significantly more limited. Greg Anderson, Chief Technology Officer of Vendio and MoreCommerce had this to say. “Creating a seamless experience for our users on Amazon Handmade was a challenge, we didn’t want it to be complex or feel like there was a lot of logins or manual syncing to be done by our sellers. Our browser extension automates the Amazon Handmade listing process for Vendio Handmade sellers. The software does the tedious work of posting your listings to Amazon Handmade, Etsy, and eBay so sellers can focus on creating amazing handmade works”

Developing tools for such an under-served group of sellers was an easy decision, says Director of Marketing, John Nash. “Vendio started over 20 years ago with a simple idea – make it easier for sellers to get their products online. The product was revolutionary then and with the launch of this tool, which is unique to the market, we think we’ve continued to stay true to that original idea”. He goes on to say “Vendio is an integral part of the MoreCommerce suite of merchant solutions and every day we remind ourselves to think ‘is what we’re working on providing real value for sellers?’. Today, we believe we’ve solved a huge issue for those sellers of handmade and custom products.”

Vendio Handmade is live and the team expects to add additional improvements and features over time. Start with a 14 day free trial and plans start at just $19.95/month after.
