Amazon Debuts ‘Black Friday Deals’ Store

Deals site could help sellers looking for last-minute inventory.

Merchants who are looking for last-minute items to sell this holiday season have one more resource, as Amazon opened a discount store for electronics, toys, clothing and other products.

The retailer announced the opening of its Black Friday Deals Store Thursday, adding that the shop features daily deals and limited-time sales on a variety of items from now through Black Friday weekend, the weekend after Thanksgiving. Sellers can also sign up to get email notices about the store’s promotions.

Thursday, shoppers could get the complete series of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” for 67 percent off the retail price, and seasons of “Dollhouse” for between 58 percent and 64 percent off. Amazon reports that in the future, Panasonic Plasma TVs, Nikon cameras, Xboxes, Alex Toys, watches, Bosch tools and other items will be offered at discounts on the Black Friday Deals Store.

Ben Hartman, vice president of Consumer Electronics for, thinks shoppers should stop by.

“By visiting our Black Friday Deals Store, customers can expect to find a large selection of the most-anticipated products of the season, all for a great price,” he says.
