Mobile payments and analytics provider Bango announced an agreement to provide payment services to Facebook.
No details of the deal were shared, and terms were not disclosed.
It’s likely that Facebook will look to U.K.-based Bango to help it make money from mobile apps on its platform, and possibly support a move into e-commerce. Facebook’s designs on mobile payments and e-commerce became apparent last week when it filed its pre-IPO financial statement.
Bango’s technology lets businesses collect payments for apps, content and services via mobile devices. Additionally, its analytics service could allow Facebook to offer more targeted advertising to mobile users.
