A company that provides working capital and data services to Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Yahoo and Shopify sellers recently hired a former Amazon executive to head its partnership and data acquisitions operations.
Kabbage announced that former Optify Vice President of Sales and Customer Experience Sam Wheeler will serve as its new vice president of business development. Before going to Optify, Wheeler was Amazon’s director of Small Business Services.
Marc Gorlin, Kabbage’s chairman, says it is “critical” to establish and extend the relationships his company has with new and existing marketplaces, data partners and other resources, and that Wheeler’s appointment will help the company do this.
“We have spent considerable time and effort to identify the right person to lead this enormous task, and Sam is clearly the best choice,” he adds.
Wheeler notes that he’s excited to extend Kabbage’s services to more marketplaces and incorporate more data into its platform.
“As we start delivering data services for the SMB market, as well as to those that wish to serve that market, we will need to ensure we have the relationships in place to deliver a valuable and quality service to our customers,” he adds.
