Officials say issue has been resolved.
A software issue that removed thousands of eBay listings on Wednesday has been resolved. The glitch impacted about 10,000 total merchants in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom and Australia, removing their listings from the site, according to a post in eBay’s General Announcements. The latest eBay changes announced in the 2013 Spring Seller Update means a simplified fee structure for merchants and an attempt to reduce the number of unpaid items. Today’s announcement includes changes that give sellers with eBay Store subscriptions up to 2,500 free fixed-price or auction-style listings per month, allow merchants whose listing include a Best Offer option to continue accepting offers until a shopper actually pays for a product, aim to reduce the number of unpaid items on the site and more. Etsy sellers can now view their store stats and create new listings on the go, thanks to updates to the Etsy iPad app, which were released today. Merchants selling on Etsy can do these tasks as well as buy, send and use gift cards—if they’re located in the U.S.—and access all the features that are available on the Etsy iPhone app, reports Adam Brown, a spokesman for the company.
