In response to eBay Fall 2012 Seller Update to Bring TRS Changes:

Over the eight years that we sold our virtual walking, jogging and biking scenery DVDs on eBay, we were quite successful, but were disturbed by the constant flow of increasingly oppressive rules for sellers. The final straw for us was the new rules that took effect on June 19 of this year.

We decided to leave eBay on June 19, and we have not regretted that decision. I strongly urge other sellers to seriously consider whether it is worth it to continue selling on eBay.

Bravo for going it alone! Trust me the thought cosses my mind almost daily. I have been selling on ebay for 7 years and I have gone from loving it to…well hate is a strong word but lets just say that ebays policy changes have left me way more than dissapointed.
I used to feel like I was in a partnership with ebay…now I feel like a pisoner.

I’ve always resented the fact that eBay removed sellers’ ability to leave negative feedback for buyers. Now buyers often blackmail sellers with unreasonable demands using negative feedback as a weapon.

However, eBay remains virtually the only game in town. No other online auction site gets anywhere near the same exposure…or the same results.
