eBay is expected to report higher year-over-year revenue for its second quarter of 2012, when it announces its earnings Wednesday afternoon.
Analysts expect the company to report revenue of $3.36 billion for the quarter, up from $2.8 billion in the same quarter of 2011, and at the high end of the revenue range it projected at the beginning of the quarter. eBay also saw an increase in revenue during this year’s first quarter, when it posted revenue of $3.3 billion.
PayPal is expected to have strong figures this quarter that will boost eBay’s overall numbers. During this year’s first quarter, PayPal saw a revenue increase of 32 percent, bringing in $1.3 billion.
eBay will report its earnings at 2 p.m. PST.
